YOGA NIDRA MEDITATION

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that leads practitioners to a profoundly still state in which the body is deeply relaxed, but the mind is awake. In this realm beyond the ordinary thinking mind, we can directly experience the true essence of our Self, which is infinite peace and unlimited creativity. Practiced lying down, it is suitable for all levels of experience.

 

Regular practice of yoga nidra has been shown to:

• dissolve reactive patterns/chronic stress at the root

• support optimum health and healing

• enhance mental clarity

• promote serenity and balance

• Gentle yoga postures designed to prepare body & mind for meditation  • Yoga nidra practice

SEATED MEDITATION

 

John and Mary integrate different kinds of seated meditation into their Yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi classes. These meditations are all geared to bringing healing energy into the body and stilling the mind, and include Inner Smile, Microcosmic Orbit, Mindful Breath, Dissolving into Light.
